IPAMS and its Call of Duty to Society

What is your worth in a company? Is it really just about profit? You hear certain buzz words such as net worth, net gain, net profit, and these words seem to get the better of many entrepreneurs and business-minded people out there.

Is a company’s worth just about all that? Or is there something more that inspires you to be in a company and motivates you to wake up everyday to go to work?

Angelito C. Hernandez, President and Managing Director of Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc (IPAMS), emphasizes in an interview:

“A company’s worth is its ability to uplift the life of the Filipino people. For many years we have been servicing the Filipino people. We are very selective in terms of clients who can give the Filipino people the best career opportunity, and in turn, a better life. We do not just accept overseas clients indiscriminately. We make sure the clients who choose us reflect the same thrust we have in distinguishing and uplifting the Filipino--- here and abroad.”

IPAMS decides to bring this thrust a notch higher by supporting a worthy cause in Philippine society. Each month, IPAMS sets aside a donation to PALCare, a non-profit NGO volunteer group established in November of 2002.

PALCare serves patients with chronic and debilitating conditions such as the following:

* Cerebro-vascular disease or Stroke
* Cancer
* Progressive neuromuscular disease
* Single or multiple organ failures with limited life expectancy

PALCare responds and addresses the plight of patients and families referred to the Supportive, Palliative and Hospice Care Program of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of UP-PGH by:

• Increasing the quality of patients’ lives through emotional support, companionship, bedside care, and pain medications
• Meeting special needs of patients and families confronted with chronic, progressive, life threatening and terminal illness
• Providing education and skills development to hospital staff, volunteers and patient primary caregivers through formal lectures and workshops

These are just some of PALCare’s goals. In light of these, IPAMS shares its resources in playing an active role in PALCare’s worthy causes.

Be a part of PALCare! If you wish to donate or be a volunteer, you may contact Dra. Agnes Bausa at inquiries@palcareph.com.

Only after duty and service, can you know your true worth!
